Francisco M. Arce is the Vice President of Academic Affairs at El Camino College in Torrance, California. Arce earned his doctorate degree from the University of San Francisco, a masters degree in political science from the University of California at Santa Barbara, a bachelors degree in political science from California State University at Los Angeles and lower division general education studies at Mt. San Antonio College in Pomona. Arce started teaching full time in Political Science at American River College where he also taught the History of Mexico and Chicano History courses.
He has experience in strategic planning, program development and evaluation, enrollment management planning, budget development, articulation, student support services and overseeing institutional research programs. Among other significant accomplishments is his leadership role to open the El Camino College Compton Educational Center.
El Camino College enrolls about 28,000 students on the main campus and 6,000 at the Center and a leading transfer institution in Southern California.
